Western Cowboy/Cowgirl Party Ideas and Inspiration

Omg it's going to snow!!! This is not ok! I am very nervous - I am not ready for this!

To get my mind off, let's dream about a Western party! Don't forget about older, but still fresh!, Frosting for a Western party here

How cute and festive is this setup?! I love the backdrop of the old town and the name written in a rope lasso!

Setup a photo "wanted" station and the kids can take the photos home as a favor! They used just a simple piece of plywood as the backdrop - can't get easier than that!

If you don't want to do the printed photos - set up a fun photo station with wanted signs and fun props like mustaches and hats!

Dipped marshmallows in mini pots become fun, edible cactus!

Baby Einstein

A reader asked for ideas for a joint Baby Einstein theme party and a baby blessing... to pull them both off, I would recommend taking the Baby Einstein characters and doing them in pastel colors instead - that way you could visually merge the two together.  Do pastel balloons where some are solid with crosses or some type of related print and the others are solid to go with the Baby Einstein characters.  Make a cake that celebrates the baby blessing and cupcakes that celebrate the birthday.... hope this helps!!

This adorable wall backdrop and cardboard characters would be amazing! Imagine all the kids having their picture taken with this scene!

I love the multiple items they used to decorate the ceiling! Don't just think streamers people! Do you see the characters hanging inside "frames"?!?!? You could just print them out and glue onto cardboard and cut cardboard out for the frame or get those make it yourself frames at the craft store.  (same)

Add a banner to welcome your guests...
Do a cute invitation that you can list both celebrations on

Give out these little guys in your favor boxes....

Get a shirt personalized for your little one....

Add your theme to a lollipop and matching tag!

Finish off with a fabulous cake or do a theme cupcake.

Vintage baby shower details and inspiration

I love that vintage is so in this year! Not just in weddings, but baby showers too! Here are a few ideas to help Frost your next vintage inspired baby shower!

Use soft, muted colors to create your vintage color scheme.

How adorable to integrate vintage baby items into the decor - this vintage shoe makes a perfect candle holder!

...here's another example... this wooden ironing board would make the perfect serving station!

Plants can really help create your feeling... try using baby jars and add vintage details like lace and buttons to help tie in the theme.

Bird party ideas and inspiration

Hope everyone had a great 4th! I know any mom can relate - I have fell off the earth for a few days again. Poor baby Elias has been having belly issues again and that means no sleep for us, but it's all worth it! He had a good day today, hoping that he is solved (switched formulas again!).

So back to the party! ...here are some ideas and inspiration for birds, whether that be for a Baby Bird Baby Shower or a nature themed party... plus, don't forget about older, but still fresh!, Frosting for birds here

How cute would these sock birdies be to hang around?! If not in a mobile style, in a banner would be cute!

Have Easter eggs left over?! Make some of these little guys!

Fun M&M birds on a pretzel branch would be great dessert for your guests!

Another fun idea with M&Ms! Cute little chick faces! Source and tutorial (edible markers for eyes here )

Elephant Baby shower ideas and inspiration

Today was our 2 month checkup for baby Elias - all is super well! WOOT! But today was shot day :o( I totally cried more than he did though! Since it's been all about baby today (he's milking our guilt for all day holds, etc) I thought it would be fitting to do a baby related post!

Here are some ideas to add a dab of Frosting to your next baby shower.  Don't forget about older, but still fresh!, Frosting for baby showers here

I love the fluffy pink backdrop and over-sized elephant! and of course, peanut favors!

Perfect idea for any party - add some Frosting to your serving pieces! A little ribbon and 2 hole punches/craft paper make these shot glasses so adorable (and for cheap!).  Always look for ways to customize without being permanent! It will help you save money on your next party!

No matter your theme, you can print out a template (google images) and create coordinating party horns for your guests! A fun idea for a kid's party would be to allow them to make and decorate them!

Hello Kitty Party Ideas and Inspiration

Today's inspiration is for Frosting a Hello Kitty party!

Hello Kitty lets you play with such fun, kid friendly colors and patterns... I love the polka dot backdrop and even the pops of nature!

White balloons can easily be turned into the iconic Hello Kitty! (as long as you can find helium ;o)

Transform brown boxes into Hello Kitty! These would be great for prepacked lunches to hand out!

A fun project that would be great as place cards... hard boiled eggs!
